I know most of you have heard that we had a bus accident this morning. A driver ran through an intersection and hit one of our buses. I want to thank Mrs. Soignet for remaining calm and taking care of our kids until help arrived. EMS and a triage nurse checked all the students on board and the driver. Everyone checked out okay and were sent home to rest. It's a scary day to be a Pirate, but it's a great day to be in the Pirate Family.
I want to thank the first responders, including, the Sherriff's Department, DPS Officers, Spurger Volunteer Fire Department, Woodville Police, EMS, and all the various community members who stopped to render aid.
