
Fourth grade took their annual field trip to the Tyler County Courthouse. They participated in a mock trial and other activities. It was a great learning experience for all.

5 days of Christmas Dress Up Days begin Monday, December 16.


Before we got out for Thanksgiving break, the third-grade students completed a writing assignment about what they are thankful for. They were all smiles as they wrote about the things they are grateful for.


Congratulations to the 8th Grade Class on their first win for our Battle of the Classes competition. The 8th grade turned their hallway into Jurassic Park for our 90s Homecoming! Way to go 8th Grade!

We would like to thank all who supported our Calendar Fundraiser. We appreciate you. The drawing for prizes included those who sold 20 days being entered into a drawing for a TV. Those who filled the calendar completely received a Golden Ticket for a chance to win a Laptop. Congratulations to those whose names were drawn. All the money that was received from the fundraiser goes back to the kids at Spurger Elementary.


Thanksgiving Break is November 25-29. School will resume on Monday, December 2nd.


Our Calendar fundraiser last month was a big success! Those students who sold 25 days or more were rewarded with a limo ride to lunch at the 92 restaurant.


Third-grade students Faith and Blake are on fire in math! They have both mastered Reflex Math with 100% fluency.


Our Lexia superstars are shining bright! Our kids are on track to become readers and learners with practice, patience, and purpose. They are really rockin' Lexia and becoming true superstars. It takes effort to achieve greatness, and our kids are doing just that! #Lexia #Superstar #Reading

When you look up "education," you're likely to find pictures of kids having fun while learning. Pre-K has been doing just that, taking Tom the Turkey home and disguising him to save him from becoming Thanksgiving dinner while also learning patterns using friends' heights. #education #funlearning


Every year, our annual Thanksgiving Feast takes a lot of hard work and effort to put together. I want to say a heartfelt thank you to our fabulous cafeteria ladies for all of your hard work. We really appreciate your time and all of your effort that goes into serving up such a delicious meal to the students, staff, and visitors.
