Hard-working...Responsible...Positive Attitude!! Those are all character traits shown by today's Positive Office Referral recipient. Jaden was chosen by Mrs. Savannah Hebert who said he always works hard during their reading lesson. Great job!!😊
If you have found a friend, you have found a treasure!! Thomas was chosen to receive the Superhero Award for amazing behavior in Mrs. Kirkendall's PreK class. Great job!! 😊
Drip, drop...pitter, patter! Did you know the earth has a "limited" amount of water? That water keeps going around and around and around in what we call the Water Cycle. 4th graders learned about the main parts which are evaporation, condensation, precipitation, and collection. 😊

Owl starts with an "O"! PreK had Show and Tell today with things that begin with the letter "O". Items included orange sunglasses, an owl book, and an egg laid by an Olive Egger Chicken. Fun fact for ya!! Olive Eggers are a breed of chicken that typically lay various shades of olive colored eggs. They are created by crossing a dark brown egg layer with a blue egg layer.🥚 PreK students ended the morning activity with an olive tasting, in which students voted on black olives as the best. 😊
Where did that six weeks go? Report cards will go home with students tomorrow. 55 days until summer!! 😊
Not all Superheroes wear capes. Some wear pink shoes, hold wands, and are in PreK!! Mrs. Kirkendall presented Ellie with the Ultimate Superhero award for her amazing leadership skills. Way to go!! 😊
Ahoy, Me Hearties!! Dr. Pirate Petey here!! I asked Nurse Pam to speak with her 1st graders today about the importance of caring for their teeth. Did you know that children’s teeth are meant to last a lifetime, and a healthy smile is important to a child’s self-esteem? With proper care, a balanced diet, and regular dental visits, their teeth can remain healthy and strong. 😊
Everyday matters at the elementary!! Students with Perfect Attendance for the 4th six weeks had their names drawn for a prize today. Way to go kiddos!!😊

Let the best 5th grade class win!! Mrs. Williams' students participated in the Battle of the Classes this week. They worked with their class to use reasoning skills and text evidence to find correct answers within story passages. Each correct response earned them a point. It was a tight race, but 5B came out on top. They were rewarded with board games for the win! 😊
Kindness is a gift everyone can afford to give. ❤️ 5th grade students made kindness bags today to give to their classmates. Each student received a bag with their name on it. The bags were first rotated throughout the class, and everyone wrote something nice about that person. 😊
The Floral Design Department offers their sincere apologies, if you did not receive your carnations today. There was a mix up with the orders, and all additional orders will be delivered tomorrow. Again, we are sorry for any inconvenience this has caused and wish you all a Happy Valentines Day. Thank you all for your support of Floral Design.
Weathering, and erosion, and deposition, oh my! Fifth graders modeled how agents of change help to create landforms, such as sand dunes, deltas, and canyons. Mrs. Odom jokingly said, "My room is filled with sand and dirt, but they were fascinated with how it all turned out.😊
Giggle! Giggle! May we read you a story? 1st graders from Mrs. Sirmons' room wanted to read their journal entries today at the office. That is until they saw Mr. Wright. He happily read their stories after being persuaded to do so by the giggling duo.😊
What did you say? PreK has been learning about their 5 senses. Yesterday was all about ears, and what precious ears they have.😊
