At the District Cross Country Meet in Chester, our JV runners all brought home a top 10 finish! Sophomores, Logan Self placed 3rd and Landen Hooks placed 5th. Senior and the Cross Country Manager, Kade Ford placed 7th followed by freshman, Sammy McElvain who placed 8th! Representing the Lady Pirates was freshman, Chelsie McGallion who placed 5th overall. Great Work Spurger Pirates!


We are proud to announce that our Varsity Cross Country Team brought back the District Championship this year. Our Spurger Pirates are once again the champions, led by Senior Landon Heim who placed 3rd overall in the district meet yesterday at Camp Takula in Chester. Also bringing home the win, are freshmen Dawson Heim and Jaydan Pastrana who placed 5th and 6th overall. Followed closely behind by juniors, Canyon Baker who placed 7th overall, BJ Haynes who placed 9th overall, and Isaac Donatucci who placed 12th overall.
These boys have advanced to the Regional Contest, held on October 22 in Corpus Christi and will compete for a chance to advance to State. Great job Spurger Pirates!
